I’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience. If you have other questions, feel free to email me at contact@randomwaterbeats.com

Q: Do you deliver every image you shoot?
A: No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery to make sure I only deliver the best ones.

Q: Do you do headshots, individual portraits, family portraits, newborn shoots, commercial photography, or other types of photography?
A: Yes, I have experience in many fields of photography. Feel free to contact me at contact@randomwaterbeats.com

Q: What is your philosophy regarding photography?
A: Please click here for details on my wedding photography philosophy.

Q: What is your photography style?
A: I am acclaimed for developing a unique style of wedding photography that is deeply rooted in wedding photojournalism while influenced by fine-art and fashion photography. I love using creative lighting, unique perspectives, angles, compositions and artistic post-production refining to bring out my clients personalities and beauty while telling their story.

Q: Do you touch up all the images in our image download?
A: Yes I do. Every image I deliver is post produced. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections.

Q: What is the difference between advanced and custom; and why are there additional costs for custom retouch?
A: Advanced post-production includes touch ups such as removal of blemishes, removal of bags under eyes, removal of fly-away hairs, etc. On the other hand, custom post production is anything that requires extensive, custom work in Photoshop such as removing entire objects from the scene, changing the size and shape of body parts or other objects in the scene, adding objects to a scene and other custom work.

Q: How many images do you typically deliver from fashion shoots and weddings?
A: I typically deliver anywhere from 40-60 images per 3-hour photo shoot and for a wedding, I typically deliver 20 images per hour. Keep in mind these numbers may increase or decrease depending on the flow of the day and the number of events/activities needing to be captured.

Q: What rights do I have to the digital prints?
A: You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit.

Q: Do you provide the RAW files from my photo shoot and/or wedding day?
A: Each of my packages comes with a full resolution image download. However, I typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from the shoots because I believe in delivering a finished product.

Q: How do we hire you?
A: Use the contact tab at the bottom of each page to reach me with questions about pricing, products and availability.

Q: How many photographs will you take/provide?
A: There’s no specific amount – I aim to take as many as possible during the time booked but the number can vary depending on the product and what you’re after. I always make sure my clients have plenty of images from their shoot which can be used across their website, online shops and social media profiles.

Q: Who owns the copyright of the images?
A: The copyright always remains with me, however I grant my clients with the rights to use the images where they please. All I ask in return is for a small credit back to me to be included where possible!

Q: I’d like you to photograph my shop / studio, is this possible?
A: Absolutely, however travel expenses and availability will need to be considered. Get in touch and we can discuss the details!

Q: How do I receive the images?
A: I use Dropbox and/or WeTransfer to send over your images – you’ll receive them as high res jpegs ready to use where you please. I can also provide them as square crops so that they’re ready to upload to your online shop!

Q: I really struggle when it comes to styling – can you help?

A: Yes – I provide both photography and styling when it comes to your photoshoot.

Q: What happens if I’m not happy with the images?

A: If you’re not satisfied with the results from your shoot, I will organise a re-shoot at no extra cost.
