Broome was founded on the pearling industry and is known to attract thousands of tourists each year for a coastal get-away to the magnificent wilderness region of the Kimberley. It’s also home to the world-famous white sands and turquoise blue waters of Cable beach.

The weather in Broome is defined by a dry season (May to October) and a wet season (November to April). In the dry season Broome experiences warm days and clear blue skies almost every day with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C. Humidity levels are low and the nights are cool. There is little rain at this time of the year, but the land is lush and green.

During the wet season Broome does not experience constant rain fall, but generally heavy, short downpours usually in the afternoons or late evening. Daytime temperatures average around the mid 30°C range. November is the hottest month of the year with high levels of humidity, even at night. Between January and March is the monsoon season, which can bring cyclones, rain and possible flooding.
